Historically, health care costs for retirees often increased at about twice the rate of inflation. Are you prepared? This two-part webinar series will discuss ways to approach your future health care and long-term care expenses. In our first episode on August 13, the Insights from Fidelity Wealth Management® team will examine the costs and decisions you should expect—whether in early retirement or your Medicare years—and discuss strategies that can help you manage expenses and support your retirement goals.
Specific topics we'll cover include:
• Cost estimates and budgeting ideas for your health care expenses in retirement
• Why investing in a Health Savings Account (HSA) can be such a tax-efficient strategy for some investors
• If you retire early, how to address health care costs before Medicare kicks in
• Enrolling in Medicare and how to evaluate your many options
• Other charges and factors, including the “income-related monthly adjustment amount” (IRMAA)
You can also register for part two of this webinar series on August 20. In that episode, we’ll take a close look at the costs of long-term care and discuss strategies that can help support your family’s financial future.
